We prayed with you Christchurch

Last last week there was a shooting in Christchurch were roughly 50 people, 49 to be exact were killed. They were all Muslims, so that guy who killed them must of been racist.

The Muslims have lost many people and it is a real pain to know that 49 of their people were all shot and killed. I feel very sorry for the muslims and I can't stop thinking how much pain you would feel if it was 49 people from your family that died. If that was my family that would be the day I won't forget. Even though it's not my family,I'm still angry at that Australian terrorist. If that was my family I literally wouldn't know how to explain my hatred for that man.

Who knows why that man did what he done, but one thing is for sure is that he shouldn't have done it. I can't name another person who would kill that many people, other than  Hitler. This man's action was obviously wrong. Nobody will agree that this is ok. We should promote love rather than hate in this world.
So to show our support for the Muslims of Christchurch, our school students and staff got together at 1.30 on Friday 21 march to pray with them. We could hear the call to prayer over the radio and it felt good to sacrifice a few minutes of our lunch time to pray with them. I am sure that helps to send positive messages of unity and love.

Fractions game

My teacher has found a fantastic fun fractions game.
I enjoy playing this game and it can teach kids about fractions.
This game is called Shape Fractions , and it may be hard to control the lines at start ,until you play it a lot it  becomes easy. There are different shapes you can do and at the bottom it tells you what fraction to draw on the shape. As I said in my second sentence I really enjoy this game ad I hope you enjoy the game.

Below is some picture of the game.

Toby's Waitangi Picture

A few days ago room 11 learned about the Treaty of Waitangi as well as the history of New Zealand wars. We choose a part of the story to illustrate and thereafter we had to write an interesting sentence that matched  our illustration. I chose to illustrate Captain Cook's ship, the Endeavor.

We share your grief Christchurch

We want you to know that our thoughts are with you , the Muslim community of Christchurch at this sad time .
We share your grief and sorrow for you have lost your loved ones suddenly at the hands of a terrorist. Our thoughts are with the families who have lost loved ones, and have injured families in hospital. Our school got together in the hall, and a student from each class came forward and placed a flower in the vase to show our love and sympathy for the muslim community of Christchurch.
