We heard some people say that the summer holidays should be shortened. I am not sure where these people are getting those weird ideas from because the six weeks holiday is great to go away overseas for a long holiday. Even if you just spend time locally with your family at the beach and the parks, its good to be able to have a long holiday to get a good rest so that we can be ready for the new year at school. If you have a good reason why the New Zealand summer holiday should be shorter, Room 11 would love to hear about it.
